8 Tips to prevent hair loss in autumn

Autumn is one of the most damaging times for our hair, after prolonged exposure to the sun, salt and chlorine in swimming pools during the summer, when this season arrives there is a spontaneous fall that usually affects women more.

It is a "seasonal" hair loss that usually lasts from 2 to 3 weeks approximately, so it is transitory and not at all worrisome, since it is a loss that can be moderate or abundant, depending on the amount of hair you have, and because the hair that falls is old, that is, long and thick, which in itself is not a loss of hair but a renewal of it.

Tips to prevent hair loss:

1.- Wash the hair correctly: The hair needs to be washed correctly and from time to time to properly take care of our capillary health. With a correct hair wash we manage to eliminate the external factors that accumulate in the hair, helping it to look strong and healthy.

2.- Massage your scalp 2 or 3 times a week with a circular massage with your fingertips to stimulate circulation and strengthen your hair, even if you don't wash it as often.

3.- Use a specific, soft and hydrating shampoo that helps us to maintain a brighter and more revitalized hair. Perform a massage of about 10 minutes in its application to stimulate the scalp and rinse with warm-cold water (avoid hot water).

4.- Be especially delicate when brushing wet hair: when hair is wet it is more prone to breakage, so it is advisable to use masks or conditioners that help to smooth the brushing process after showering. If you additionally use a thick barbed comb made with a material that is natural even better.

5.- Dry without aggressiveness: Making sudden and strong movements to dry the hair with the towel will not only frizz it more, but it can damage the capital fiber. It is best to make subtle movements and use very soft materials, preferably cotton.

6.- Avoid exposing it to heat treatments: the very hot dryer, the tweezers, the iron ... can damage your hair and enhance its fragility and fall. It is proven that subjecting hair to high temperatures without proper protection causes it to break.

7.- Follow a healthy diet: a good diet results in health and in the end that directly influences the health of your hair. Make sure you follow a diet where there is no shortage of foods rich in iron, zinc, vitamin A, cystine, biotin, antioxidants and proteins: chicken, eggs and fish and dairy.

8.- Avoid stress: Exercising regularly helps reduce anxiety and stress levels that can cause telogen effluvium. In addition, doing sports encourages blood flow and will make it reach the scalp better.
